A new article published by the Greensboro News and Record prominently trumpets the fact that there is a fairly sharp drop in the number of North Carolina residents signing up for Obamacare.
The decrease is 22.5 percent or 219,000 less residents than last year. The “journalist” is eager to point out that the evil Republicans did not renew Obamacare tax credits.
What did the News and Record fail to point out?
- That the tax credits were passed by the socialists, signed into law by Biden, and designed to be temporary;
- That Obamacare is still heavily subsidized;
- That Obamacare has spectacularly failed to contain health care costs;
- The reasons Obamacare has failed to contain health care costs; and
- The main drivers of health care inflation.
Obamacare offered health insurance through two mechanisms: increased access to Medicaid and the Obamacare exchanges. This article discusses those who purchase insurance through the Obamacare exchanges.
But the article is an obvious, typical MSM attempt to beat the drum for more governmental charity funded by taxpayers. It is a profoundly ignorant discussion of the topic because of the blatant omissions described above. The article cites numerous facts and figures, but cleverly avoids the real issues.
Indeed, the article is an effort to confuse the general public and minimize understanding.
Your points of their omissions are right on, Triad. Obamacare was designed to fail, to make people beg for total socialization of medical care, euphemized as “single payer”. But it has created a cancer of a different sort, a fascistically collectivized system that may well have a life of its own, with so many vested interests in keeping the corrupt system like it is.
Yeah, I’m talking to you, Republican House member Donnie Lambeth, spark plug behind Obama’s Medicaid expansion in N. Carolina.
That’s a great point, J. Sobran, that it was designed to fail. The corrupt media focuses on the people covered, but they don’t discuss the people who have been hurt by Obamacare. It picked winners and losers, and yes, there were losers.
