I began a law enforcement career in 1966. As I recall the Miranda decision was discussed in my basic agent class. Soon thereafter a lamented version of the warning was available to us.
I can’t recall any investigation that I was involved in was hamstrung by Miranda.
I do believe that it had an adverse effect on public safety.
It was but one of many activist decisions we had seen over the last century, Fred, as you know. Miranda doesn’t get discussed much these days, but it is a great example.
