We should be incensed that we have allowed the country to sink into an angry, delirious, partisan abyss. We should be raving mad at ourselves for allowing our country to get to this point.
Charlie Kirk was assassinated for the same reason Ronald Reagan and and Donald Trump were shot. For the same reason that Abraham Lincoln, John Kennedy and several other notables were murdered. They represented a threat .
For years, those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world’s worst mass murderers and criminals. This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we’re seeing in our country today.
Fred, most of conservatives who have been online have had these awful epithets thrown at us– racist, hater, homophobe, transphobe, Islamophobe, misogynist, anti-Semite, etc. We allowed those invectives to be launched unchallenged. Perhaps there needs to be an avalanche of slander/libel lawsuits filed when they do these things.
