Folks who have lived in the Triad for some time will likely recall fondly Wachovia which was a very good bank until it became unmoored immediately prior to the financial crisis. Its headquarters was in Winston-Salem.
Wachovia had bought Golden West Financial that had many risky loans in its portfolio.
It turns out that Golden West was operated by the late Jewish billionaire, Herb Sandler. whose foundation has lavishly funded media bias and lawfare against conservatives. It played a major role in these efforts.
That makes the end of Wachovia even more sad than the sprinkling of Wells Fargo bank branches that dot the Triad. Its purchase of Golden West helped fund Sandler’s socialist political efforts.
Billionaires are going to do what billionaires will do like Soros et al. Well the good guys have got their Daddy Warbucks too to override their money and noise.
I think the socialists have more Daddy Warbucks than we do, Fred. These billionaires need to be held responsible for the damage they do.
