Nice wrap up of Bill Clinton’s 8 years in the White House. His first term was given to him by Ross Perot who got 19% of the popular vote.
In retrospect, Fred, Perot was probably the best candidate in at least some respects. But I remember he and his family were put under very intense pressure during the campaign. From who? I don’t know.
So much left out of this summary. Bombing of thousands of innocent Serbians and Clinton’s regret that he couldn’t have been “a real wartime President” didn’t even merit a mention. It is a given now that American presidents will murder lots of innocent civilians or pay for the Israelis to do it.
You are right, J. Sobran, that Serbia was a terrible mistake. Clinton was fortunate to be labeled a successful president– thanks to the Republicans in Congress– in spite of all the things he did, or would have done if he were not restrained.
