Breitbart reports. He takes most pride in liberal measures he helped advance– eugenics compensation and more funding for mental health at the federal level.
When he was first vying for the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate twelve years ago, I said we might be stuck with him for decades. I stand corrected.
He has 18 more months left in office to undermine conservative policy outcomes.
The voters were fooled. Were there any warning signals? Let’s hope the GOP chooses a real conservative to run in the 2026 general election.
I think there were warning signs, Fred. This was hotly debated within NC conservative circles back during the 2014 primary season; and I remember a leader of one of the NC think tanks warning me even prior to that about Tillis’ aspirations for US Senate. He would not have ascended to NC House Speaker if he were not an establishment guy.
What is amazing is that he passed some good conservative legislation when he was Speaker in Raleigh. It is almost as if he were building his resume to run for Senate and act as a lefty in Washington.
“He takes most pride in liberal measures he helped advance– eugenics compensation and more funding for mental health at the federal level.”
What, no pride in participating in the Russia Hoax? In not lifting a finger for the J6 hostages–>1000 political persecutions? No pride in funneling maximum taxpayer $s to wars in the Eastern Hemisphere?
There is so much, J. Sobran, in which he can express “pride”, J. Sobran.
Tillis’ expressing pleasure in shooting down Trump’s nominees like Gaetz and Martin may have been an accelerant to Trump’s decision Saturday, I suppose.
