The Republican-led North Carolina General Assembly passed a bill that would require regulations proposed by executive agencies to be approved by the state legislature.
This is a good idea. That would enable them to apply the brakes when the socialists in the governor’s administration weave a tangled web.
It would even be better if the General Assembly were to write the regulations themselves. It is inappropriate for legislators to delegate the task of writing law to unelected bureaucrats.
That is the quickest path to a deep state in NC.
You are right, Fred. This bill is a step in the right direction, but I would prefer to see the General Assembly write all the regulations.
This same action is vitally needed at the federal level!
