  1. Amy Coney Barrett a case in point? Surely Stephen Miller will pick up on this.

To play the devil’s advocate, there probably aren’t many “good” lawyers from which to choose. So often their profession appears to be that of paid liars.

    1. Amy Coney Barrett is a great example, J. Sobran. She helped deliver the overturning of Roe v. Wade, but on many other issues she has been a disaster.

You are right that the legal profession is tainted and tilts left. However, there are good conservative attorneys out there. When Barrett was being considered, another female– Barbara Lagoa from Florida– was being considered. Some knew Lagoa would have been a much better choice, but Barrett was the ultimate nominee with the flawed selection process we have seen. (And we can’t rule out this might have been because of the many moderates/progressives in the Republican Senate caucus who would have to vote to confirm.)

  2. The Federalist Society’s main purpose is to ensure that conservative judges are appointed. The Federalist Society is opposed to so-called liberal public education, reproductive choice, labor regulations, and environmental laws and is highly pro-2nd amendment.

I think the guest on the video uses hyperbolic terms ( such as traitors ) to describe the Federalist Society.

While it is true that top dollar funding mostly comes from right-wing groups such as the Bradley Group and the Koch Foundation in general, most donors come from the pro-business right . The Federalist Society is founded on the principles that the state exists to preserve freedom, that the separation of governmental powers is central to our Constitution, and that it is emphatically the province and duty of the judiciary to say what the law is, not what it should be.

There is much more that can be said both pro and con but i’ll leave that to others.
