NC House Budget: Good and Bad

The NC Family Policy Council likes the budget passed by the NC House because it includes money for pregnancy care centers and fatherhood initiatives; and social media protections for minors.

The Carolina Partnership for Reform, however, says that the NC House budget proposal would result in a tax increase.

This is the same NC House that had passed Medicaid expansion. The budget spends much more money than it needs to.

The Republican Party as made manifest in Raleigh has degenerated into a “moderate” political movement. Conservative on some issues, more liberal on spending and taxation.

The voters ultimately get what they elect.
