Yep, Fred, that is one of the socialists' mantras. The problem with "hoping" in the context of these vaccines is that severe, life-threatening adverse effects in numbers much greater we had previous seen with vaccines were discovered in the initial trials-- but were covered up and not shared with the medical community or with the public. Government is at fault, and the manufacturers are at fault.
Meanwhile, large portions of the general public are still blithely unaware.
