Aw we witness from afar the horrifying events in Texas, the absurdity of green energy is coming into greater focus. It is being revealed to be a sham and a fraud. The good people of Texas are enjoying the complications of prolonged or rolling blackouts; water shortages; and food shortages.
But how could a red state like Texas fall victim to relying upon so much wind and solar? It's simple, really. The green energy companies buy off state legislators, whether they are Republican or Democrat. Republicans eager to demonstrate for the corrupt media their enlightened progressive credentials play right along.
A number of years ago, there was considerable fanfare when the city of Greensboro announced its purchase of electric buses. There was nary a protest even though there was at least one of two Republicans on the city council at the time. Federal grant money was involved.
I had the opportunity to speak with a reliable source who told me about the limitations of the electric buses.
Did you know that they cannot maintain their speed ascending hills, and must slow down causing traffic to back up behind them? Imagine them lumbering along at 25-30 mph on a major thoroughfare.
Did you know that during periods of high electric usage-- for instance, when AC is used-- they only can ride for a few hours and then must return to the garage because the battery is depleted?
Did you know that a lack of parts and/or expertise servicing them renders them unusable for weeks at a time when problems arise?
And because of the previous two considerations, did you know there must be extra buses in reserve to replace them when they are out of commission, to a greater extent than with diesel buses?
Did you also know that these buses do not maintain the temperature inside the bus as well as the diesel counterparts, limiting comfort?
So our progressive politicians and city staff get to wave their progressive credentials proudly, while the users of the buses must deal with the consequences. And the costs might be higher than it appears on the surface.
Meanwhile, in the wake of a couple of ice storms over the last ten days, the city of Greensboro enjoyed widespread blackouts. I had pointed out previously how our idiot mayor, Nancy Vaughan, had made a big stink over Duke Energy cutting trees to clear the power lines, and enacted an ordinance to make the process much more difficult. Since then, we have had more blackouts, and when they occur, they are often more prolonged.
But dear Nancy was engaging in one of her foolish crusades, waving her green banner to save the trees-- even though Greensboro is one of the most lushly green cities imaginable from the standpoint of trees and vegetation.
Interestingly, the media does not discuss topics such as these. We must maintain the facade of green enlightenment in spite of all the downsides.
Yeah. Let's all freeze to death in the dark.

Fred, this is a clear example where they are directly hurting citizens' interests-- of all races. And yet, there is not even any discussion. Amazing.
