This is a critical time for our country because we are on the precipice of falling into socialist totalitarian control. The American Democratic Party is the chief instigator at this point, with a major assist from the mainstream media and the biggest players in the tech industry. And the characteristic Republican non-entities in positions of power are allowing it to happen.
We can debate whether the form of socialism being adopted by the Democratic Party is fascism or communism, but there are valid arguments in each direction. While they have accused those on the right of fascism for many years, it is their current economic model-- support from Wall Street and corporate America, and government inextricably tied to those forces, combined with authoritarianism-- that most closely resembles it.
The revelations we have learned about Google, Amazon, Twitter and Facebook over the last few years are deeply troubling. But the situation has gotten much worse, obviously, over the last several months. There is unjustifiable banning of participants, and censoring of posts. There is systematic manipulation of technology to favor one candidate over another, and one party over another. And in the case of Facebook, there is a founder who funded a massive, unethical manipulation of statewide elections.
Social media and the internet were one hailed by the left as a major democratizing force to allow average people to make their voices heard. But when these forces helped elect Donald Trump and caused policymaking to be redirected toward the interests of Americans, they quickly changed their collective tune. Now, voices on the internet and social media had to be squelched.
After today, I will no longer be posting my blog articles on the various group Facebook pages. In my opinion, to the extent that we participate with this social media site, we are feeding the beast. We are facilitating their bad faith interference in the American public square. We need to stop, and wean ourselves off dependence upon this site.
Some readers likely enjoy or appreciate my articles. My blog will still be up and running; and you can still access it through various means. For instance, you can regularly visit www.triadconservative.com. You can make the site one of your "favorites". And if you wish, you can subscribe to e-mail notifications of my posts by clicking here.
I am posting less frequently than in the past because of certain extracurricular activities. But I still plan to keep the blog up and running.
In the meantime, I am exploring other social media sites. Gab looks particularly appealing because its principals appear to have built their own infrastructure; are not dependent on the nefarious, large players within the tech industry; and seem deeply committed to free speech and liberty. (The operators of the various group pages can notify me of any other social media with which they might participate.)
Thank you.
Big tech has real power to control many aspects of our lives and culture.

That's right, Fred. That is why we need to find alternative social media sites, internet browsers, etc. Stop empowering them, because they benefit from our using their products.

How's this ?

HOW TO STOP BIG TECH CENSORSHIP
A consensus is emerging about the most effective way to stop the censorship of conservatives by left-wing social media companies like Facebook and Twitter. The solution, as Paul’s correspondent was among the first to argue, is to work through the states. There are plenty of states controlled by conservatives–or at least people who believe in free speech–to make this happen. In my opinion, if a critical mass of states, say 10 or 15, enact such legislation, authorizing substantial statutory damages for each violation along with attorneys’ fees, the social media platforms will have no choice but to stop suppressing conservative voices.
Bills have been introduced in several states, including Mississippi, North Dakota and (I think) Arizona, intended to stop online discrimination on political grounds. I have probably missed some, and more will be offered soon. Here in Minnesota, I believe a bill will be introduced in the state Senate sometime next week. When that happens, I will publish it here.
My organization has been participating for some time in a group called the Free Speech Alliance, which was founded by the Media Research Center. Representatives of 52 organizations, including a couple from foreign countries, attended an FSA zoom last week. The subject of the call was how to fight back against Big Tech suppression of conservative views. My view that our most effective approach is to work through state legislation is, I think, becoming pretty universal. Watch for much more along these lines in the weeks to come.

Good idea, Fred. It can't happen at the federal level, in part because Senators and members of Congress receive lots of campaign contributions from big tech. I hope that is not also true at the state level.
