Forest is sticking to the Marquis of Queensberry Rules.

He has brought a knife to a gun fight.

We generally know how that sadly ends,

I agree, Fred.

Here is the rub. I think he has time to turn this around. But even if he did, and he were to prevail, I am not sure what we would be getting. Many regional conservatives have been convinced he would be great in the governor's office; and he certainly sounds some of the right notes. The risk, however, is that we might have another GOP establishment-ish disappointment.

We can only presume the approach he takes to his campaign is also the approach he would bring to the governor's office.

What did he do with his seat on the state Board of Education?
