You remember Loretta Lynch-- the beloved Obama Administration Attorney General.
Here in Greensboro, we were repeatedly reminded by the News and Record that sweet Loretta had been raised in Greensboro; and that her family was part of one of Greensboro's prominent (lefty) black churches.
We were all supposed to feel good about that. We were to think warmly about Ms. Lynch-- that she was one of us, and that she was to be regarded as intrinsically worthy because she was a black female political operative who came from Greensboro. She even came back to town once or twice since her appointment as Attorney General, and was treated deferentially.
What had occurred within Lynch's Department of Justice, however, was egregious. The release of the Horowitz Inspector General report earlier this week provides a foreshadowing of what we will hopefully learn later from the Durham investigation. Remember-- Horowitz was an Obama appointee; and even he could not cover up all the serious violations. Lots of people need to go to prison for a long time.
The record of the Obama/Holder/Lynch Justice Department is absolutely awful. This was not even remotely the only problem with the manner in which they wielded power and exercised their responsibilities.
I have been watching the News and Record website this week to see if there is any commentary about Greensboro's own Loretta Lynch and her ultimate responsibility for the revelations in the Horowitz report. But for some reason, I am not finding any discussion.
Of course, such reporting or analysis from the News and Record could not be relied upon even if did exist.
Sometimes, however, silence-- the absence of commentary-- can be very instructive.
TC: Don't hold your breath waiting for the N&R to publish anything about Lynch's malfeasance in office.
Still I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall during the infamous tarmac meeting between Lynch and Bill Clinton

Fred, yes, I know it is very unlikely the N&R will publish anything that puts Lynch in a negative light, particularly since they had played up her Greensboro connection. But, in fact, her Greensboro connection is probably a major risk factor for all the malfeasance.
